So What's a Gelli Plate?
Perhaps you've seen or heard the buzz about the Gelli Plate and you are like ...huh?... Gelli?... Don't feel clueless, it was new to me too 18 months ago when I was on Pinterest and I saw a post by Julie Fee Fan Balzer and had to check it out. Oh my goodness I wanted a Gelli and let's be frankly, I'm not the trendest girl. But this was one trend I had to hop on board. The thing I want you to understand is this is so easy it's child's play. And frankly if you have issues with messy art, this isn't all that messy either. With stencils, paint, and some kind of paper (any paper) you can create one of a kind colorful backgrounds. What do you do with these backgrounds? Anything you want sweetie-pie; cards, scrapbook layouts, die cuts, art journal pages, mixed media projects... you name it. Basically that's the gist of the whole Gelli plate craze. Here are a few of my creations using Gelli plate sheets.
