Introducing Faith Journal Classes. Perhaps you have noticed Faith Journaling or Bible Journaling in the last couple of years. It’s wonderful pairing of your personal walk of faith with art. It’s very similar to regular art journaling that you see here, on Pinterest and in the art world in general. Only the theme is based in a scripture and most of us will be working in a journaling Bible.

Most faith journaling artists are using a special Bible called a journaling bible that has a special column for making notes. Amazon has nice journaling Bibles for under $30.00. Now drawing in a Bible was something that took me a little while to wrap my brain around. Not just underlining scripture but actually creating art in the Bible and honestly today I still wonder what my sweet Grandma would say. But anything that gets people to explore scripture is a good thing in my book. I do not recommend using your study Bible for this class.

In August I will start offering a monthly Faith Journal class. It will be very similar to my art journal class in that we will create a work of art in a journaling Bible. Do you have to draw in your Bible, no of course not. You can use anything you want including your regular art journal. Some are even using church hymnals, isn’t that a fun idea. I will provide most of the class supplies along with a written lesson.

I think this is going to be a fun experience for us all. The first class is Good Gift that features James 1:17 and is scheduled for August 20, 2:00 and the cost is $15.00. If you have taken my art journal classes in the past you know I break each step down in the lesson and explain it simple terms. So a complicated design is easy-peezy and you are going to be surprised how well you do. I promise.
